In a move that will surprise many people, it was announced online during tonight’s USA Network broadcast of Monday Night RAW that SmackDown! Diva Serena (Serena Deeb) has been released from World Wrestling Entertainment. Serena, of course, was known for accompanying former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk on the company’s SmackDown! brand. She also just made her in-ring debut on WWE television this past Friday on MyNetworkTV’s Friday Night SmackDown! broadcast.

Deeb made her debut for WWE by playing an audience member in January of this year and then going on to join CM Punk’s “Straight Edge Society” stable along with Luke Gallows, and now, Joey Mercury. Before her WWE run, she was a record-breaking six-time Women’s Champion in Ohio Valley Wrestling

As of right now, details are very sketchy on why she was released from the company, but given that she was a rather big deal for the company, let the speculation begin.
