This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT! (8/26/10) on Spike TV scored an overall viewership audience of 1.44 million according to early estimates. This is up about 110,000 viewers from last week’s 1.35 million overall audience. The show scored a 1.07 cable rating, up from last week’s 0.97 rating.
This number is still down from the weeks prior to last week’s show. The Whole F’N Show broadcast on July 12th scored 1.52 million viewers and the shows prior to that scored viewers in the 1.65 million range. After weeks of building the audience in July leading up to their Hardcore Justice pay-per-view, it seems that the audience is less interested in the product than a few weeks back.
TNA ReACTION, which airs immediately following iMPACT!, also grew in its third week by bringing in a 0.68 rating with 915,000 viewers, up from last week’s 0.62 rating with 824,000 viewers.
On another note, MTV’s Jersey Shore, which goes head-to-head with iMPACT! in the 10PM hour, scored its highest rating ever (again) on MTV by bringing in 5.8 million viewers and a 3.0 18-49 rating, a demographic number almost unprecedented on cable television (and even rare for many broadcast television shows these days).
