In a follow-up to our original report last night, both Figure Four Weekly Online and the Pro Wrestling Torch are reporting that Serena has been released from World Wrestling Entertainment.

While specific details surrounding her abrupt departure from the organization have yet to be disclosed, it said that she was let go in a disciplinary measure. The Torch cryptically notes that she was not “living out” her Straight Edge Society persona in public.

The decision to cut the six-time Ohio Valley Wrestling Women’s Champion was actually made a few days ago, but word had not surfaced until Monday night.

It would appear that an official announcement has not yet been made by WWE as she’s due to make an appearance on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which was taped last Wednesday. She accompanies Luke Gallows to the ring for a match against Big Show.
